Surgery is scheduled for Friday. Last I heard, Mom has to be at the hospital at 11 a.m., but that's obviously not when the actual surgery starts. The surgery is expected to last about 5 hours. The bad - Every single spot they biopsied last week has to come out. She has invasive ductal carcinoma (cancer) on both sides (the one we knew about initially and a new spot they found on the left side) and lobular carcinoma in-situ and a papilloma one on each side (pre-cancerous cells), so those areas have to come out too.The good - Thank the Lord she got in to see her doctor that she has now.
